Human turned phantom fae Brett has to survive mage trials when he has
only just learned he’s a mage. And dragon fae shifter Ena is warned
that the dragon fae kingdom is in turmoil, something that she vows to
help put to rights.
When Brett is forced to fight alongside the phantom fae, which means
take a stand against Ena and her kind, he’s not doing it. She will
always have his loyalty, though when she learns he’s one of her enemy
fae, and a mage on top of that, she might not feel the same about him.
Still, Prince Grotto is their common enemy, and if it means fighting
him, maybe they can work together. Yet, Brett wants more than that with
Ena. Will she ever see him as more than just a human fae seer she took
as payment for rescuing the kingdom’s princess?

Google Play: Coming
Normally, I like to have a story that is ended, no cliff hanger
because it frustrates readers when they don’t know when the next book is
coming, and I never know when I can finish a book when I have so many
other deadlines that absolutely have to be met: ie for a publisher.
With Hawk Fae, book 5, it had to be left like it was or it would have
been two books in one. And truly, I loved the way it was ended, with
resolution, but with something more devious going on coming up.
With Phantom Fae, book 6, resolution. I have two covers for two more
fae stories, no idea where I want to go with them at the moment, or
titles for them. But when I have some time, I’ll share.
Because I worked on finalizing this up all day yesterday, I didn’t
have time to work on SEAL, so I’m behind, but I’ll hopefully catch up on
word count today. I will be working on the Phantom Fae print version
soon, but needed to get my word count for SEAL because it’s so much
harder to manage when it gets really behind. Hopefully, I’ll be at the
halfway point today, if I get caught up.
It’s been raining a lot, which is unusual in the winter, but we so
needed the rain again. I slipped on the wet pavement when I went to take
the dogs out at 4:45, so need to find a different pair of shoes that
hopefully are less slippery, or figure out something else. I have a
conference to go to in a little bit and I don’t want to be running
around in airports on crutches.
Oh, and I had asked my editor if they’d be interested in a historical
wolf story series some time ago because I love writing historical, but
she said no. My wolves also have long lives, so often I slip some of the
historical aspect into them. So I thought it would be neat to have two
series, the historical ones and the contemporary ones. But when she said
no, that was fine with me. A rejection means an opportunity to excel.
With today’s publishing options, I can just smile and say, “Okay,” and
go on my merry way and write the books of my heart anyway.
A couple of years ago I listened to a NY Times bestselling author who
was writing a historical series, and she had this idea for a really
cool Irish historical romance series. She was so excited to write it and
her agent said if she tried to push it, he’d dump her. Now, she was a
highly successful author and he was making a ton of money off her, but
he was afraid if he didn’t squash this far out notion, she wouldn’t make
any money and he wouldn’t. So she dumped him and got a new agent, sold
the series, and made bestseller status on those books. We have to write
what our heart tells us and hopefully our readers will love them every
bit as much.
I wonder if the agent is regretting his decision. Even if the sales
hadn’t taken off, the author had to do this. It’s what we do. Create.
From the heart. And if that creativity is squashed, we end up hitting a
brick wall of writing block.
Editors and agents will sometimes steer us in directions that aren’t
right for us because they think that’s what the market wants. But we’re
still creating the stories and we have to be able to write what we can
to an extent because otherwise the story just won’t come.
So here is the cover, still need to come up with a series name and
title, but I think for series name: Highland Wolf Clan. Not sure on
title. It will be historical, wolf, Highlands.
And I thought this was such a fantastic cover, I had to buy it for the first book. :)
That’s it! I’m listening to the rain, and it’s pouring out, typing
this up, working on making the changes to SEAL that I worked on when I
went to bed last night and then I’m off to write.
Have a super great Thursday. Puppies are sleeping on my lap and all is well.
:)

Woohoo, New Cover Reveal!
Coming in July, 2015
I’m soooo excited about this cover. It has lots of energy, don’t you think? Love colors, the wolf, the hero.
Have you ever been in a rush, and goofed? Well, I was trying to get a picture of another finished Steampunk Bear for an order and the sun was setting, fast, and I forgot to put her Steampunk watch on. So I have to wait for the sun to rise this morning so I can take her picture, again. So the sun just rose, but it’s still fairly dark out. I’ll show her off tomorrow, maybe with another couple of bears if I have time to finish them.
And more finished bears. I really have been working.
I finished her and she’s ready to ship, and I finished another bear’s paws, and half of another bear’s paws last night for a 4 bear order. But the one has to have a tutu. I’ve made them before, but I wanted to see if they had some other fun techniques to make them, and voila, I LOVE the Internet. All kinds of sites showing how to make one in a fun way.
I turned in A Silver Wolf Christmas, and I’m now rereading Kiss of the Vampire, YA, since I have to update the cover as soon as I get the finalized one back from the cover artist.
And I’m going to reread The Vampire…In My Dreams and I’ve been reformatting it so that I can republish it.
And I’m still working with the last beta reader on Call of the Cougar.
I hope to finish 2-3 bears today, and finish reading Kiss of the Vampire.
What a great, cold day! Happy TGIF!
Don’t you love the new cover???

Have You Ever Been to a Renaissance Fair? & Wolf Awareness Week Continues!
Going to a Renaissance Fair in Texas can be challenging–clothes wise. You’re trying to dress up in period clothes and its HOT!
Anyway, my son-in-law is dressing up for the first time, and I’m excited. I’m wearing cooler. :) I just throw some stuff together. We don’t go to them enough to pay a lot of money on costumes and I had a few things from some other events I wore, so should work. It’s the fantasy theme, so that should be fun.
Curious and interested in what was going on. Food maybe? They were fed once a week like they would be fed in the wild.
And it’s fun time with bears!
And pictures from the Renaissance Fair we went to a few years back. :)

Okay, off to work. Got Jaguar Pride final proof to review back and more beta reader critiques for A Silver Wolf Christmas, and more bear orders, and what am I doing playing around with pictures again???
I did turn in SEAL Wolf Hunting!
Have a great Friday! Happy TGIF!

Got to take a picture of a finished Steampunk Bear before I ship. A friend of a really big time author ordered it for her, and I’m really excited about it!!! But she doesn’t want me to show it off in case the author sees it. As if. LOL So I’ll post it after Christmas.
All right, so that’s my fan girl moment.
Happy Wolf Awareness Week!!!

Reviews:
5 Stars!!
I became hooked on shifter romances years ago and one of the people I blame for this addiction is author Terry Spear. Yes, that’s right, when I began to read Terry Spear’s Heart of the Wolf series, I was hooked. Why? Because Spear creates a fabulous, believable shifter world. No, I didn’t start looking at my neighbors too closely (though I did wonder about that coyote/wolf that began wandering around). Seriously, though, Spear’s Heart of the Wolf series combines believable protagonists that are shifters whom I’d love to have move in next door. (Yes, quite a few hunky alphas in this group.)
In addition, Spear is a writer who makes every detail clear for her readers. We can see this Heart of the Wolf world take form in front of us with each page we turn. Each of the books include not only charismatic protagonists, but also exciting stories that keep the reader turning page after page.
This spring, I reread the entire series and enjoyed it even more as the details that thread each story and link each book to one another were so clear and well-integrated. The stories may be set in the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, Maine, or Scotland, but there are themes and characters that remain consistently as touchstones for her readers. Romantic Times, 4 Star! HOT
When it comes to paranormal romance, readers can always depend on Spear to deliver. This 14th entry in the acclaimed Heart of the Wolf series will not lee down those rabid fans of the hairy guys who howl at the moon. Hero of a Highland Wolf is guaranteed to excite, tantalize and stimulate all of your senses. And there’s kilts! Jaime A. Geraldi4.5!!!
Ah, those Highland wolves should just RUN when American woman arrive on their doorsteps. They really stand no chance of keeping their hearts to themselves! This is #14 in Ms. Spear's Heart of the Wolf Series. It's a stand alone, although you'll probably want to read the others, because, really...SHIFTERS! Hot Highland SHIFTERS!Colleen arrives at the castle that she's inherited. She's been forewarned by her best friend that the manager, Grant, of the property is going to try and scare her off. Not that a whole bunch of Highland warriors, wearing kilts and swinging broadswords, would cause her to scarper off. Nope, she's tickled at all the shirtless and oiled men that fill her courtyard.
She is surprised that the men are all shifters. Her father, a jackass if there ever was one, had griped that they were all human.
Once again there are some steamy times as these two work to find their way together. There's a party, with a pirate theme, that had me giggling.
Yep, the Highland wolves should just roll over and show their soft underbellies when the American women come to them. I will definitely be reading more from Terry Spear. Good then she's so prolific!

Fresh Fiction!
I believe that any reader who wants to enjoy an action packed, sizzling romance will enjoy HERO OF A HIGHLAND WOLF ... the shifter aspect isn't overblown, in fact until they shifted to fight at one point I had forgotten it was a paranormal. It is a fantastic love story plain and simple and one I plan to put in my keeper shelf. by: Annetta SweetkoBack to writing!
