Dragonflies in Flight & the Dinner Out–the New Art of Conversation

2 dragonflies in flight dragonfly in flight (4)dragonfly in flight
When I water, the dragonflies come buzzing around. But even when I don’t, they do. They must be really smart, unlike birds, and know that when I’m out, I might just be getting ready to water. The birds can’t figure out that if I’m out there, I might be bringing them food or water. Maybe that’s where they come up with the term bird brain? It is hard, well, for me, to catch a dragonfly in flight. They fly very fast, but I had fun capturing these images!

I took some more pictures of the sunflowers. I love them. They remind me of my dad who had planted them so many years ago and once they are gone, I won’t see them for another year. I particularly loved this one, stretching out.

And a picture is worth a million words, don’t you think?

And yes, while this was going on…I took the picture. :)
Okay, I’m back to writing. I only reached 11,000. I was working on setting up a Facebook party for next week for Her Highland Hero Release with some other Highland romance authors. After that, I’ll be doing a Hero of a Highland Wolf one, so stay tuned! And I contracted a narrator who is actually Scottish to do the narration for Her Highland Hero, so excited about that. :)
Back to writing!

I love the dragonflies. It's funny. When I put my gift the Moonrays Faerie into my Garden. Before I had her permanently placed. A small Dragon fly landed on her wings. Of course the camera was on the table. And when I got it. He flew off. But he gave me his approval. It's funny how going out to eat doesn't involve human contact or face to face conversation. It's a nice rainy day. My appointment was cancelled. So I'll just do some reading or maybe vacuuming. Which one is the most fun?

I agree. Love the dragonflies. They eat the bad aphids. :) That's so sweet. Then he has okayed the fairy. :) Of course he flew off before you could get the camera!! LOL

I actually took mine out to capture them in flight, and was surprised to see that some of them were not blurry. They move so fast! :) I wish it was rainy here. I was spray painting the morning, but too much of a breeze even though it seemed really still. I have one black arm to prove it. Been trying to get it off. *sigh* I was also watering.

But if it were me? I'd choose reading over vacuuming any day. :)

The sun just came out. Maybe I have some other options now. Sorry about spray painting yourself. It was suppose to go on the fence.

Yeah, dummy me. LOL I would go for a few days of just rain. :)

Despite of all the rain we've had. I still needed to go remind my girlfriend next door to water her gorgeous Begonia plant I gave her for her patio this spring. She thinks the rain can reach it under the roof. It took two full watering cans. It was thirsty.

exactly! I had to have my potted plants out of the sun, so they didn't get rainwater. I didn't bother this year because of conferences. :(
