Jaguar Hunt-300 (487x800)
An agent and a jaguar-shifter chase trouble, and each other, through the jungles of Belize… Agent Tammy Anderson has a reputation: she prefers to work alone. So when she’s paired up on a mission with jaguar-shifter David Patterson—who’s only recently been released from jail—to say she’s less than thrilled is a understatement. Until she realizes that this sexy agent has what it takes…
Soon, what started as an “easy” mission to locate a missing jaguar takes the pair to Belize, where they’re chasing down two renegade teen shifters who know more than they’re telling. As the action heats up, can they keep their minds on the job and off of each other?

Okay, I’m back…. again. I can’t help it if I get such great news and I have to share! :)
This is really, really the last time today. Unless something else comes up. Note I’m not working on A SEAL Wolf for Sale.
I’m sick! Not sure if I picked up a bug on the plane or it was from the guys replacing my windows and all the dust and outside allergens. But I barely got any sleep last night and so that means NO WRITING on mss until I’m more with it.
Although, who knows? Maybe I would be really brilliant then?
Right.
Have a super lovely Wednesday and…. hug a wolf. Or wait, jaguar. Got my shifters mixed up.  Blog tour coming in June. Book releases Jun 4, 2014!

Though I don't often have knights in my stories, as Highlanders take over, they sure still are great to see in action, the sword fighting, jousting, just too much fun.

The green knight reminded us of Thor.

We were supposed to root for the red and yellow knight, but personality wise, the green knight had it! :)

Garden Arbor

I love this garden arbor with a glimpse of what lies beyond, a sitting area, perfect for a spring day. :)

A really simple garden structure that just adds to the garden.

Both are at the Arboretum in Waco.
Ah, yes, the bridge that leads to another arbor. I had a little wooden bridge but it's all gone now.

I had an arbor at my other house, but I'd cemented it in, or I would have taken it with me. It was beautiful, ornate, wrought iron. The building supply store was going out of business so I got it half off. :)

I'm back home from Chicago, so now it's time to finish writing A SEAL Wolf for Sale!

Hope you all are having nicer weather now.

From Debbie’s Book Bag
Thoughts:

Bestselling Author Terry Spear takes readers on a new adventure with the first book in a new shifter series, Heart of the Cougar. This time cougar’s that take center stage, as Spear builds her new series around another powerful, intelligent animal. Cougar’s Mate introduces readers to the town of Yuma, Colorado, ran by cougar shifters and open to helping heroine Shannon Rafferty who is on the run from those who want her dead. Deputy Chase Buchanan doesn’t know what he’s getting himself into, but he knows he has to protect this woman, this she-cat who has stolen his heart.

What I liked:

I am a Terry Spear fan from way back. And hearing that she had a new series out about another group of shifters was tantamount to Christmas for me. Spear has a way of writing that not only pulls the reader in, but it also keeps them interested and not just through one particular novel, but through everything they can possibly find that she’s written. She has an easy word flow and style that makes her writing accessible and engaging. Her characters are always intense and well developed and her world building is beyond phenomenal and I was so excited to see where she would go with her new cougar shifters. I was certainly not disappointed. Yuma is quite a town!

Bottom Line:

This is an exceptional paranormal romance. Terry Spear never disappoints. She creates characters that readers can relate to, whether they are paranormal or not. Her world building is a real strength in her writing, as is her easy style and humor. If you are looking for an engaging love story that just happens to involve cougar shifters, this one is one to read.

Cougar’s Mate is available NOW from your favorite bookseller.

I’m giving this one 5 out of 5 apples from my book bag!

Okay, now with a review like that, why wouldn’t I love to write? Thanks so much to Deb and others like her who have shared how much they love my works!

Storm Clouds over Dallas

I love seeing the clouds when I'm flying, only they can mean really bad weather and being up in an airplane isn't the safest place to be. Last night they had weather alerts for lightning flashes at 5 a minute. I was delayed on another flight last year because of storms over Dallas, then ended up not being able to land in Atlanta while we circled around the storm that was engulfing the airport there. And then when we landed, we couldn't leave the plane as they wouldn't let anyone out of the building the lightning storm was so bad. Then we had to wait on luggage because of the same reason.

So clouds can be beautiful to look at, but dangerous to fly through at times.

Storms over Dallas, last year while I was flying through them!

Have a lovely Monday! Off to write! :)

Cougar’s Mate is the first book in the Heart of the Cougar Series, and I plan to write Call of the Cougar by Christmas.

Cougar’s Mate: Instinct told her to run…

Shannon Rafferty learns that hanging out with the bad boys could be a dangerous business, but hooking up with a cop is even worse. Now she’s on the run, trying to avoid being murdered by his cougar shifter brothers and uncle. If that isn’t bad enough, a deputy sheriff hunts her down while she’s running as a cougar and trying to survive in the Colorado wilderness. He vows to protect her no matter what she’s done. With three dead boyfriends to her name, she’s sure she will be the death of Chase Buchanan before either of them can prevent it. No matter how much she knows she has to run again, he soon holds her heart hostage. But will that be enough to keep them both alive?

Chase Buchanan—as wilderness cabin resort owner, former US Army Special Forces, and part time deputy of the small town of Yuma, Colorado that boasts a love of cougars—is tasked to track down a cougar reported to be hunting human prey. Chase soon learns she’s a shifter, not a full-time cougar, and she’s on the run. When he takes her in, he vows to protect her. After losing his wife and baby to the human kind of predator years earlier, he’s not letting Shannon’s hunters kill her, too. But how is he going to hold onto the wild-cat woman, who is unpredictable at every turn, without losing his heart to her, and then losing her as well?

I just finished A Hero of a Highland Wolf and returned it so it’s ready to come out in August.
I have 18,000 left to write on A SEAL Wolf for Sale, but then I’ll be revising it. But that’s really the fun part for me. It’s written, and then it needs to be revised.

And then??? Time for A Viking’s Highland Lass. I also am taking part in an anthology with a group of Highland authors, Kissing the Highlander, Vonda Sinclair, Victoria Roberts, Eliza Knight, Willa Blair, and me!

And then I have to write A Silver Wolf Christmas, Call of the Cougar, and Phantom Fae.
But I also have 6 conferences to go to….
I can do it. :)

But I have my first one coming up soon!

Have a super great Saturday!

Alpha Female Watching Us

My blog was messy so starting over. :)

Back to working on A SEAL Wolf for Sale

I'm sending the chapter by chapter to Loretta to read. Is that fair, or what?
But it helps me to see if I'm going in the right direction.

Getting closer to the end. Only 18,000 words to go!

Have a super TGIF!
