Baby Giraffes & Wolf Pack Babies...
This is a teen and a baby giraffe. There's just something about babies that make them loveable. Don't you think?
When I wrote Heart of the Wolf, I was going for the couple, so for a lot of the book, I tried to concentrate on the romance and suspense that involved a couple of hot wolves. But my editor said that these were wolf packs. And I should show kids.
Yes, but this is a romance. So I was a little reluctant to show a bunch of kids in a romance/werewolf/suspense. It can be hard juggling all these things and not take away from the focus of the story.
But in Destiny of the Wolf, I had teens who got into trouble and a little bit about wolf children off playing with adult supervision. So I had the prerequisite, all encompassing wolf pack.
In To Tempt the Wolf, I was back to an all adult world. The same in Legend of the White Wolf.
But I had to show real pack dynamics, so in Seduced by the Wolf, I had some rambunctious teens. :)
In Wolf Fever and Dreaming of the Wolf, no kids.
I love showing teens. They're fun. They add the pack flavor with some humor, drama, and suspense. In Heart of the Highland Wolf, I don't think I mentioned teens.
And not in A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing or A Howl for a Highlander.
But in A Highland Werewolf Wedding I do. :)
And in A SEAL Wolf Christmas, we have the runaway teen who Bjornolf brought back to Hunter's Oregon coast wolf pack in A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing. You don't see the teen in the story....but in this one you do.
In Silence of the Wolf, the teens from Destiny of the Wolf are back. A beta reader asked if two of the teens were getting together. I love it!!!
Now, one of the things that fans have asked me--what happened to Bella's babies from Heart of the Wolf? What happened to some of the others who were about due to have them?
So in A SEAL Wolf Christmas, you'll learn about a couple of the couples who had babies on the way.
And I think it was fun. :) I hope you do too!
Do you read romances where children are integral to the story? Or do you like to read stories that are strictly all adult?

I like hearing about the kids. They don't need to be the main part of the story but cute moments. Which makes me feel like life is moving on. Also how in packs everyone wants to be a part of raising the children.
I agree. In A SEAL Wolf Christmas, two teens are vital to the story, but I think you'll enjoy it. It was a fun way of dealing with some subjects that Bjornolf and Anna had no idea they'd have to cope with when they took on this job. :)
I think the reason babies are cute is because if they weren't no one would put up with their smell or noise.
Teens are fine in the story but I don't enjoy when babies and small children are an important part. Nothing like a crying baby or whining kid to fizzle the sparks. I won't read a romance with kids for a main story line. In the background is good, and yes in a pack you would assume they would be arround. So that's fine.
You can tell I'm not really kid friendly. Happy Superbowl Sunday.
Going to see Bite the Bullet today.
LOL, that's too funny, Bonnie! I so agree!!! :) LOL
It's fun showing a little bit of the trouble teen wolves can get into as compared to human teens as it relates to the hero and heroine. As long as the story is about the hero and heroine. It was fun in Seduced by the Wolf when zoo man Thompson hears wolf pups and barges in on the new mother who has an armful of human babies. :) No wolves in sight. :)
Oh, and have fun with the Superbowl!!! I'm playing around with Tom again. :)
I like attempted baby making and successful baby making parts best in the Stories. The babies first moments. Stories with Single Mothers and wonderful men who take them under his protection, wing or paw. The HEA of Baby makes three, four or five. And then they're walking and talking and all grown up causing problems. LOL Have a great Super Bowl Sunday.
LOL, Donna. My mom said we weren't any fun until we could talk and make sense. LOL :) Have a fun day!!!
