I dropped by two Barnes and Nobles in Houston, the one showed only one book left, Dreaming of the Wolf, but we couldn't find it. And the River Oaks Shopping Center, which had 4 copies of SEAL, 1 of Dreaming of the Wolf, and I can't remember the other. They are now all autographed!

My daughter and I had fun shopping. Talbots had some great sales so I bought her a dress and sweater for her birthday. Her birthday is not until November, so when it comes around, I want to have witnesses that I got her a birthday present early. LOL :)
Have you done that? Bought someone a gift early because it seemed like a great idea and then they forget that you did that???
Oh, I'll get her something else too. But she can wear this on her new job.
We went to a fun tea room yesterday, and I had Japanese green tea. :) New haircut, ugh. I should have left well enough alone!
Now, I wish we were here in Hawaii sipping the Japanese green tea, but we can't have everything! Unless....I set a wolf story in Hawaii....
Have a wonderful TGIF!

Those bookstores need to buy more of your books! When I went to one out here they only had one copy of seal.. Of course that's the one my friend bought me. Now they have none.
I love the pictures and the tea room sounds really cool.
Have fun with your daughter.
Well, I have to say it's good they're selling, Bonnie! But they need to reorder! :) I wanted to get more pictures of the tea room, but I thought I might look like a tourist. LOL They had a lot of neat tropical fish. That's great that your friend bought you one. That's what I call a real friend! LOL :)
We're going out to lunch together today. I hit publish before I uploaded all my pictures today. :)
Happy TGIF!
I'm so glad you've having a good visit with your daughter and you enjoy each others company so much. I have my daughter in the basement apartment and she's too busy to hang out with me. I think your haircut looks fine. You girls look like Twins instead of mother and Daughter. Cool Tea Room pictures. All my local smaller bookstores have sold out of your books. B&N have 2 of Seal left. They had 10 the last time I looked. Have fun on this TGIF. I'm helping out with a Garage Sale.
Thanks, Donna! Some of the trouble was the wind and humidity was awful. LOL about the twins! I wish I had her red hair! Good on having more copies of SEAL. I noticed that sales in MN are great!
You and your daughter look great together. It's easy to see where she gets her good looks!
As much as I love getting autographed books, my Kindle has spoiled me. I'm now investing in e-books. One thing to carry, soooo many choices! Happy times!
Thanks, Jessica! Jenn was showing me all the neat things about the Nook. One day I'll have to get an ereader! :) It would help to have something on trips. I liked the kind that you can actually check your emails also though. :)
Hair looks great Terry! Give it a few days-I never am happy with mine when I first get it cut.
Recently got a Kindle Fire as a gift-really nice but I know I won't totally do away with 'hold in your hand, love the smell of' books. The kindle is great tho and you can check emails etc. on it.
I would say if a bookstore is out of your books it has to mean everyone is buying them!!! Thats a really good thing.
Enjoy time with your daughter, have a great weekend!
Hi Terry. I have to agree with everyone here, your new hair cut looks good on you.
I know I said it before, but your daughter has beautiful hair! It's so nice to be able to spend time together and really enjoy it. Good for you guys.
Well, it must mean that your books are a hot item in the book stores if they can't keep them on the shelves. They just need to keep up with the sales...lol But that's a good thing I would think.
I'm jealous of Cat's Kindle Fire, that's the one I want, should I ever get one. It has a lot more features on it (like email). I do love the idea of having that book in my hand tho. It's an on-going romance I have with books. lol I think I brought over 80 books home from the RWA Conference...woohoo!! Now to find a place to put them! hehe
Well, hope you had fun at lunch with your daughter, take care and happy writing... xxoo
An island wolf story sounds like fun. Of course, you would have to travel there to do research. :)
I agree with the others, you and your daughter could be sisters.
Have fun!
Thanks, Cat!! I always feel anxious when I'm not writing! I've been having a wonderful time though! I keep telling myself about the hairdo...that it will get better! :)
I agree about the books selling. That's always a good thing! Eventually, I will have to get a ereader that also does emails. :)
Thanks, Lorene!! I'm having fun! We're going to see Total Recall today somewhere and we'll see the Cirque du Soleil and then it's all back to work and writing. Which is totally fun too! I brought a whole bunch of books home too! :) I love to read.
Thanks, Dawn! Yeah, I'd sure love to go to Hawaii for some really good research. Sitting on the beach drinking a Blue Hawaiian while tapping away at my keyboard....yeah. :)
