Warning! Wolves!

Remember to play nicely with the wolves!

Yes!

Okay, had to share this. I do NOT work at this library!!! One of our patrons said that he used to go to people's homes and retrieve library books that were way past overdue, but I think he's on medication for something...and I'm not sure what he says is real or just his imagination.

Anyway, here's the story!

www.huffingtonpost.com
A five-year-old girl from Charlton, Mass. burst into tears after a local library sent Police Sergeant Dan Dowd to her house to retrieve the child's two overdue library books, CBS Boston reported. "I thought it was way overboard," the girl's mother, Shannon Benoit, said.

So when patrons get upset with us because they don't return their books on time, and I mean way overdue books that are now in collections, they should be glad we don't send the police to their homes.
Jeesh, we need our cops to take care of REAL police business!!!

Okay, off to writing!

Sure Terry, pleay nicely with the wolves. Just remind your wolves to play nicely with us plain humans. We don't have fangs and claws!!!!

I read that artical about the cop going to collect overdue library books. Don't blame the five yr old, her Mother is teaching her poor borrowing habits. Here in Cincinnati some poor excuse of a parent, took out multiple library cards in her kids names. Borrowed movies galore and then sold the DVD's at flea markets to get the money! Can you believe it? Talk about sending the wrong message to your kids! Hope your weeks goes well.

LOL, I'm sure they won't use their fangs and claws on you. You're too sweet, Jessica! Tongues more like it. :)

Ohmigosh, copycats are at your library! We had the exact thing happen with our dvds. We had to limit them to 5 because a woman was selling them at the flea market. And the same thing with multiple cards for kids, except these were ones she didn't have, so now the kid has to accompany the parent if they want a card! You know the service is FREE! And we allow 65 books to be checked out per card. But what happened was she had fines on her cards so couldn't check out on her card without paying the fines and she wasn't going to pay the fines!
