Lost and....Found...Kind of!

Sometimes I have days of not being able to find something. Not really very often, but when it's two important things in one day...

First, I look in all the usual places. Then I get more creative. Then I think of places they can't be. One was a book I'm reading for a contest. I thought I'd taken it to work to read on break. At least I had already done that with one of the books. Began reading another book the other day, and realized I'd already read it. So two down. Off to the 3rd.

I intended to take it to work with me, but couldn't find it. Maybe it slipped out of my bag and was at work in my desk drawer. No. Maybe it slipped out of my bag and was on the car floor. No. Couldn't do any more looking until I returned home.

Watch is missing also. I knew I had put it on before I went to bed. I thought maybe the clasp had come undone, but I've looked in the usual places for it, and then all around the bed. It's nowhere. I can't stand not having a watch. We have clocks in the library, but none of them are working. :)

Okay, so, I get home last night, search some more for my watch. Can't find it. Search for the book, and spy one sitting on the coffee table. But it's the one I just finished reading, isn't it?

Both have shirtless Highland hunks on the cover, blue kilts, and a blue background. They're not all that similar otherwise, but glancing at them, they look nearly the same. I had put the one I hadn't read away, thinking it was the one I had read.

Mystery solved, lost book found. Now...where is my watch?

Have a super Thursday!!! Today is Hump Day for me!

lol Terry. That was a bad day for you but for me. LOLOLOLOL!!!!

I can't tell you how many times I've done the same thing. Now, there is a nail by the front foor for my keys. I don't take my watch off till I hit the bed and can put it on the nightstand. I'm glad I bought a Kindle, a lot of my books and at hand and in my purse. The paperbooks, well, I can only hope when they run away, they don't get too far! Hope today is a better day for you.

You sound more organized than me, Jessica! :) I figure my next step is to start cleaning house. I usually find something I'm looking/not looking for! :)

Are you sure you had it on when you went to bed? And not on the floor by the toilet. Did you look behind the head board on the floor, or in the pillow case for the watch? You know time travels. So it probably is in the 1800's without you. It's happened to me. I'm still looking for the Sherlock Holmes movie. Now if I had RDJ or JL here they'd know exactly where it is. Be careful today, you might blink and join your watch. LOL

LOL, Donna! If it's lost in the past, I'm REALLY in trouble! Once, I found it by my car, so I was lucky I saw it before I ran over it! And once it fell down between the car door and the seat. But I was missing it when I got up that morning. So I'm sure I must have lost it around the bed. Pretty sure. I thought maybe it got caught up in a sleeve, but no such luck.

And I've checked and rechecked the bed linens, pillows, and around the floor. *sigh*

LOL, Krissy, you sound like me! I think this is the perfect place to put something. Then, no, this would be better. Or...even this would be better. Which do I remember? The first place! :) And it's not there.
