Tomorrow will be a GREAT Day!

I'm off! --Friday, that is.

The contest for Ian will begin.

The AC man will be here to begin work on the AC.

And...I'm off!!

I'll be working on edits all weekend on The SEAL in Wolf's Clothing.

Today, I'll be having lunch with my DIL, her mother and sister, and hopefully my daughter, then I'll be at work.

But tomorrow I'm off!!! I so needed this. It's been a week and a half all rolled up into one week.

Our computers were down twice yesterday, which on top of everything else, put us way far behind and we couldn't get caught up before closing last night.

Hope you have a terrific Thursday!

I'll send out the newsletter tomorrow. Anyone want a peek at Jake's story in Dreaming of the Wolf?

Knight Errant

I was reading about fairies and the fae realms while I'm writing The Deadly Fae, although everyone has their own versions, which is what makes it fun to write my own version, and had to include my knight errant here today.

It's hard for me to keep a hero dark in a story--I always want to "rehabilitate" them so that they are loving and kind and what everyone wants in a hero. Yet, it's important to show growth in characters, so I struggle to keep my hero dark until he has "grown."

:)

I've read stories about heroes who are dark--dark pasts, who verge on abusive, and I can't see how that could be appealing to readers, yet for some it is. I don't care how much one romanticizes about such behavior, it's just not romantic to me! :)

Well, I'm off to work on Fae some more. I still need to finish up two more rounds for the contest that Ian is in...

Oh, and it's possible that The Dark Fae and the others in the series might come out in print from my historical publisher. We'll see!

Hope you have a lovely Tuesday!!! Yesterday was unbelievable at work, but then I knew it would be. It's like that every day now.

If you fell in love with a roguish hero, how would you try to rehabilitate him? Or would you let love take its course?

Today is watering day--we're on watering restriction, so I'm madly dashing around moving hoses this morning before I have to go to work. No sprinklers out here.

I'm nearly halfway finished with The Deadly Fae, have to do the edits on The SEAL and the Wolf this weekend, then it's time to finish jaguar!

Have a great day!!!

Air Conditioner #2 Troubles???

I'm up at 1 am because...

1. I was dreaming of 5 hunks and secret passageways.

2. I couldn't stop thinking of The Deadly Fae and had to write some more on it.

3. The North Pole descended on my bedroom and I wasn't dressed for it.

4. The world rocked on it's axis and it's caused dire consequences.

5. All of the above.

6. None of the above.

7. Some of the above.

Last night, I went to my bedroom and the air was chilled. So I turned up the thermostat to make it turn off. That's for the add-on part of the house, not the same AC as I replaced for the original part of the house.

FLASHBACK: 3 days ago. That part of the house was really, really hot and I turned down the thermostat to get the AC to come on and it was really slow to do anything. Forever.

FLASHBACK to tonight...

The AC went off like it was supposed to do, until it got warm enough to turn back on. About half an hour after I fell asleep, I'm startled awake by an explosive bang!! It was from the AC unit outside. And it nearly gave me a heart attack.

And the AC was back on, blowing all kinds of cold air. I was tired, ignored it, fell back to sleep.

One in the morning, I'm FREEZING. No longer can I look for polar bears who transform into handsome princes in the middle of the night to keep me warm...it's not working because I'm still freezing, so still haven't located even one measly prince...

And I reluctantly get out of bed to turn off the AC. Again. Turn the thermostat to the highest it can go. It shouldn't go on. At all.

It's going and going and going. When I tried to turn it to OFF, it started the heater. Wait! Ack. No, I don't want the heat on. Yes, I'm cold. I just want it all to STOP.

*sigh*

So I began typing up the handwritten stuff I wrote before I fell asleep on The Deadly Fae--

And reading how to make the puffiness disappear beneath your eyes. Yes, I know, number one thing is get plenty of rest. Right. Not at the North Pole. Not happening. I refuse to put on long johns when it's 95 degrees outside. This is so going to cost me in electric bills until I can get it shut off!!!

And of course I had other problems last night with the house...but I'm sure you don't want to hear what else happened last night that was enough to give me a whole new boatload of house repair worries.

Sooooo, how was your night???

Publisher: Sourcebook
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Julia Wildthorn is a romance writer who decides to travel to Scotland under the guise of working on a movie crew who is filming at a castle that the owner keeps everyone out. Of course other than researching her next book she is on another mission to find something left behind by one of her ancestors.

Ian MacNeill is the owner of Argent Castle and head of his clan who also happen to be werewolves. Hence the reason he does not like humans on his land. But, when his brother has put the family in financial straights so what could he do when approached to allow a movie crew on his land he concedes.

When Ian sets eyes on Julia he is drawn to her like he has never felt about a woman before and of course he can sense she is also a wolf. But, he knows she is hiding something from him and how can he be sure that she is not working for his enemy.

What happens when you bring a writer, two warring clans, a film crew and lots of testosterone together? One word exciting!!

Terry Spear continues to draw us into her world of wolves and this time she takes us on a trip to Scotland where men are warriors as well as wolves. From the first book in her series I have been hooked and I continue to be totally amazed and feel as if I am inside the story myself. I look forward to her next book coming in December DREAMING OF THE WOLF.

Urban Fantasy Investigations

I'm at Urban Fantasy Investigations for a free giveaway. I like the title. It reminds me of paranormal investigations. The real kind! Be sure and drop by to comment if you can. This is the first time I've been hosted there!

I'll be at Sia's Thoughts over Coffee tomorrow, and on Monday, June 27, Amy's Simple Love of Reading! And then I'll be at another location on July 7, ...more on that later. Still need to write up the blog.

I took "off" last night after work, horrible, horrible headache both from stress at work and allergies, probably. So I didn't write on anything and watched a movie about the men who escaped from the Siberian prison. Wow, what an incredible story. It makes you appreciate what we have here in the States as far as freedoms go, since most were "political" prisoners--college students, farmers, artists, not anyone who deserved the harsh punishment of being sent to Siberia. It's amazing that any of them survived the long and hazardous trek.

Today I work just the night hours, and I have another man coming over to give me an estimate about stabilizing my foundation. :(

Otherwise, I intend to work on something. :)

Have a super great Thursday!!!

I have a blog spot today, but it's not up, so I'm thinking?

Got to go to work...so, this is the blog today!

Hope your day is all smiles....

We have the children's programs all day, which means it's a zoo.

Werewolf in a Kilt-aka: Heart of the Highland Wolf!

Giveaway at Fang-tastic Books--talking about Werewolf in a Kilt (aka: Heart of the Highland Wolf)!!! And I'm at Casablanca, Owing a Debt of Gratitude...

Okay, I have to call my editor today--she LOVED The SEAL in Wolf's Clothing, so that's the good news!!!

Heart of the Wolf just got picked up to have a featured ad in a new magazine, The Book Breeze, with a last minute deadline, so I was scrambling to get that ready, and I'm really excited about that!

And I'm off to write on Jaguar, but I'll be getting editorial suggestions from Deb today on the changes she wants on The SEAL in Wolf's Clothing in a little bit, so I may have to put the poor jaguar aside again.

Such is the problem with the wolves. They think they get priority over the jaguars!!! But there ARE more of them!!!

Have a super day!

Ravings of a Paranormal Author!

by Terry Spear

I'm at Anna's Book Blog today with a free giveaway!!

And I reached 86,000 on Jaguar! Just writing the final scenes, 4,000 words to go to reach word count, although it'll probably be longer once I flesh out the final scenes, and voila! It's a book!

Writing is fun, but it's also hard work. Do you realize all the trouble my hero and heroine and their sidekicks get into that I have to get them out of???

I mean, jeesh! You'd think people would be grown up enough to be responsible for their own actions, but no, I'm always bailing them out. And then what happens? They get themselves into another mess!

You know, I have enough to deal with--real life problems, without having to take care of hunky wolves and hunky jaguars, and hunky Highlanders, and hunky cowboys--truly!

They really need to chin up and deal with these issues on their own. Write their own stories. Then when I wake up in the morning, and before I have to go to work, I can just read about how successful they were. Or weren't. But THEY would deal with it, not me. And they would only have THEMSELVES to blame for the messes they get themselves into. Not me!

*sigh*

I guess it's just my giving nature. I can't stand to see the messes they get themselves into, and I just have to give them a helping hand. The thing of it is, they're not always happy about the way I help them out!

Ever find that in real life? You give someone a lending hand, and they're not grateful?

What's the world coming to?

:)

Still, you look at those adorable jaguar cubs and think, yeah, it's worth it!

My thoughts:

This story is wonderful blend of contemporary suspense; romance, with just the right mix of paranormal. Terry has a wonderful sense of humor and you can’t help but laugh out loud at some of the situations. The cast of characters is well-drawn and distinct with strong family ties with Ms. Spear’s trademark pack dynamics.

What I love about Terry Spear’s series, especially in this particular story, is this isn’t fantasy. It’s set in the real world and crafted in such a way you feel there could actually be werewolves hiding in plain sight.

Terry sets it in the Highlands (yay!) and combines a touch history (how can you not?), a secluded castle, a ghost, a family feud going back generations, a hidden betrothal contract, and a villain who’s determined to take what he sees as his right, Julia Wildthorn. One tough and mouthwatering Scot Laird (Ian) who has already determined that Julia is all his and said villain will take her his dead body. Believe me, Sutherland tries.

Did I mention there is not just one sexy Highland wolf, but four of them! None of them are quite prepared for two independent and unprotected female (what is wrong with their pack leaders anyway?) American werewolves in Scotland, especially one who writes (gasp) werewolf romances.

This is such a fun story to read. I love that Terry has set this and the next one in Scotland (I’m hoping a story for each brother).

Let me go on record and say, Terry Spear just gets better and better.

Terry Spear's sexy Highland wolves can bite me any time.

American werewolf Julia Wildthorn is a romance author; her specialty is werewolf romance novels. Her latest plot involves Argent Castle in the middle of the Scottish Highlands. Julia is hitching a ride on the coattails of a movie being filmed around the castle. She plans to learn as much as possible about Argent Castle and the werewolves that inhabit it. Unfortunately, someone else has other plans for Julia. A wreck and a rescue by a certain Laird turn her plan upside down.

Laird Ian MacNeill hates the thought of a movie production taking place around his family’s castle but his recent money troubles leaves him no choice. Ian is startled when he stumbles across a horrible wreck and two stranded women. The luscious Julia lights his fire like no other but he knows she’s keeping secrets.

Movie production begins and enemies from the past arrive to seize what they believe is theirs. Ian and Julia’s attraction to each other becomes undeniable but can they trust each other? Argent Castle is rife with enemies, ghosts and deadly secrets. Will they all survive the battle headed their way?

Heart of the Highland Wolf is a sweet, sizzling and utterly satisfying. The story starts off with a bang and the hits keep coming keeping the reader immersed in this highland novel. I loved learning the history behind Argent Castle and the families that have lived there. Julia and her many names are mysterious and keep everyone guessing. Ian comes off as a hard-edged no-nonsense werewolf but Julia pushes all of his buttons bringing him plenty of chaos. Ian and Julia spark when they are together. I loved watching them dance around their attraction for each other. There are plenty of suspenseful parts of this novel but it’s the couple that sets these pages on fire. I could read about them over and over again! Heart of the Highland Wolf is a hot highland hit filled with sexy werewolves and dastardly villains. This is the seventh book in Terry Spear’s Werewolf series but it can be read as a stand-alone novel.

http://cindysloveofbooks.blogspot.com/2011/06/review-give-away-heart-of-highland-wolf.html

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will notice that I don't read/review romance books and that is only because its a genre I never really got into until I read To Tempt The Wolf. I fell in love with the book and the author. Terry's books are the only romance books I will read and highly recommend.

Heart of the Highland Wolf did not disappoint. I devoured this book within two days and if I could I think I would have stayed up all night to read it. After reading this I had a sudden urge to want to visit Scotland.

What I love about this series is that you really don't need to read the previous books in order to follow along because each book deals with a different set of characters and yes some characters carry over into other books but its nothing major. Each book is fresh and exciting.

Julia the main character is a romance writer who writes about werewolves. She has developed writers block and thinks that hopping on a plane to Scotland with her friend Maria and the film crew will help her over come this. They are going to Scotland to film a historical movie at Agent Castle. Little does everyone else know but Julia is also going over for another reason. Its sort of like a secret family mission.

Although once they land in Scotland strange things begin to happen to Julia. A strange man at the airport who Julia feels is being a little to possessive in his manner and then a car accident. Are all these things linked or is it just a fluke? Is there more to this then Julia realizes?

In Julia's eyes she is hoping that Ian (Laird, Ian MacNeill) will become the hero in her book and little does Julia realize that during the course of time he will become that and then some for her in real life.

Ian has given up on ever finding his true love because in the past something has always happened and he was left behind to pick up the pieces but when he sees Julia he knows that she is the one. He knows there is more behind her then she is telling. What will he do when he uncovers the truth?

For me I loved Julia and Ian. There relationship started out light and flirty but quickly heated up. One thing I love about Terry's books is that she leaves alot to the imagination. There isn't alot of over the top sex scenes just enough to satisfy the reader.

I am really looking forward to discover more about the MacNeill brothers such as Duncan, Gutherie, and Cearnach in her upcoming highland books.

http://www.loveromancepassion.com/review-heart-of-the-highland-wolf-by-terry-spear/

Summary: Ian MacNeill, hero, is an earl-slash, alpha pack leader-slash, laird; who will lose Argent Castle because of financial reasons if he doesn’t do something quick. The solution? Agree to let Sunset Productions film a Highland movie on his property (in the Highlands of Scotland).

The production crew has agreed to all of Ian’s countless stipulations; so why then, is the assistant to the assistant director trespassing and breaking and entering?

MacNeill isn’t obtuse; he’s cognizant of Julia’s lies. He knows she’s being untruthful about many things: her surname, her occupation, and her motives for creeping around his castle. Another laird would be furious with the lass. Punishing her even. But Ian has his own wolfish ideas to get the lass to behave.

Review: This novel has it all; the suspense, the romance, a malicious antagonist, and a castle with secret tunnels, trap doors and its very own…ghost. I can’t decide which appealed more, the suspense or the mystery. “Give me a minute to think about it.” Let’s go with…suspense. I remember gasping out loud on page 6 and that was just the beginning.

Favorite Character: Flynn, Argent Castle’s very own ghost. He always helps a lady in need! I’m not kidding, I wanted more Flynn! (I’m pouting like Tinker Bell and stomping my little foot.)

Favorite Scene(s): I loved the way Ian welcomes Julia to Scotland. (Welcome me, welcome me!)

Then there’s the hike, which ends at the falls, where Ian pleasures Julia with and without her clothes. Hot doesn’t even begin to describe it. The man has talent! He also whispers sweet nothings in Gaelic.

Cameos: I spied with my little eye a wolf biologist named Cassie, and my favorite pack leader, Leidolf. For new readers, or those reading the series out of order, you can read all about Cassie and Leidolf in Seduced by the Wolf (book 5).

Special Surprises Which Tickled Me Pink: I found two references (pages 165 and 345) regarding LRP’s Get into Bed interviews. (Cute.) (Funny.) Again…tickled pink. Description: :D

Recommendations: Recommended first and foremost to mystery lovers, then to readers who love romantic suspense, and finally to paranormal romance readers.

http://debsbookbag.blogspot.com/2011/06/review-heart-of-highland-wolf.html

Terry Spear once again thrills fans with the latest addition to her award-winning Heart of the Wolf series. Heart of the Highland Wolf takes place in Scotland and has everything from werewolves to castles and film crews. Fans of Spear will fall in love with new Highland characters that will expand the series in a new direction. Spears attention to detail and superb research skills give this book an authentic feel. Readers will love the details of wolf pack dynamics and Scottish clan loyalties. A great new paranormal romance!

Highland laird, Ian MacNeil finds himself and his clan up to their ears in debt and taxes after a bad investment scheme has left them nearly bankrupt. The clans ancestral home in the Caledonian Forest, Argent Castle is the perfect place to hide the fact that the clan is actually a gray werewolf pack until a movie production company comes calling. Ian realizes that this may be his only chance to save his home by allowing them to film a movie in the castle, but he doesn't have to like it. Julia Wildthorn, American red werewolf and romance writer has journeyed to Scotland with her friend Maria, a part of the movie crew. She has two motives for coming along for the ride. With deadlines looming she needs new inspiration for her next werewolf romance novel and her grandfather has charged her with finding and returning a family relic that remains hidden in Argent Castle. But when she and Ian collide there worlds will never be the same. How are they tied together by the past? What's in the mysterious box?

Author Terry Spear once again gives readers what they want. Her highly successful Heart of the Wolf series has proven that shape-shifters are characters that readers want to read about, especially werewolves. Spear uses her in depth research into wolf and pack behavior to create an authentic feel to the book that readers will pick up on immediately. She understands the need for readers to believe that this sort of thing is possible and to be able to identify with the characters she has created. I really enjoy the way that Spear injects the pack mentality into everything her werewolf characters do. Another thing I find particularly interesting is the fact that Spear's werewolves can be born or made. She takes a werewolf myth and expands and changes it somewhat, and to me at least, makes it a lot more appealing than most werewolf novels.

In this addition to the series, Spear takes on the Highland clans. Being of Scottish descent myself, I was very happy to see the way this book was going. Apparently Spear has Highland ancestry as well and it comes across in her writing. I found her writing about the inner workings of a clan just as interesting as her writing about pack dynamics. The seemed to intertwine very well in her writing and she was able to give readers a sense of history and wistfulness. It was a very good marrying of two groups. The Laird of the clan being much like the Alpha male in a wolf pack. I always look to see how a writer interprets Highland customs and traditions and the overall attitude of the Scottish people and in my opinion Spear pulls it off with flying colors.

Ian and Julia make a very good couple. He is the strong lead character that is necessary with a werewolf novel. He is the epitome of heroes. Strong and courageous and not afraid to admit when he is wrong. She on the other hand is creative and determined and full of tenacity and grit. Quite a pair. The love scenes are steamy and frequent and readers who enjoy the romance of a book, will swoon a bit over this one. Spear has a real knack for writing steamy love scenes. It adds a lot of spice to the book and the chemistry between them just sizzles off the pages. Very hot!

The whole idea of family secrets and boxes from the past and finding relics is important to the story, but not essential in my opinion. It provided some interesting circumstances in which to find the main characters and gives Julia a one plausible excuse to stow away with the production crew, but I liked the romance writer angle a little better. I love it when a writer makes one of her or his characters a novelist as well. But, that's somewhat difficult to pull off. Readers who are familiar with Spear's other books in the series will remember Julia from previous books and it seems only natural that she gets her own story with this one.

Spear has written each book in the series to function on its own as a stand alone and that makes all the difference with a big series like this one. Readers can just pick up anywhere within the series and not be a big disadvantage, though I think they miss out on some of the nuances of the story if they haven't read them all.

I would recommend this one to paranormal romance fans, werewolf and wolf enthusiasts alike and to anyone who loves a good steamy romance. There is a lot to offer the reader in this book and in the entire series. It certainly not one you want to miss!

Heart of the Highland Wolf is available NOW from your favorite bookseller.

Carol Woods loves her job as a nurse. She always wanted to work at the hospital in Silver Town, Colorado. Her dream came true after she became a member of the wolf pack. Carol was viciously attacked by a red wolf, changing her forever. Carol has since resisted the shift, terrified she won’t be able to shift back, but it’s getting harder. Carol uses her unique visions to stall the shifts. The visions are telling her that something bad is coming to Silver Town and she may be the only one that can stop it.

Chester Ryan McKinley, a P.I., has been a bit obsessed with the lovely Carol since meeting her months ago during his investigation. He’s not so sure he believes in her psychic ability but he knows he needs to see her again. It seems Carol’s Alpha is determined to mate her to one of his pack and that just doesn’t sit well with Ryan.

Carol is one of few female wolves and every male around would like the chance to mate her. Carol isn’t too keen on mating anyone within the pack when the only wolf she can think about is Ryan, the one who doesn’t believe in her. Danger lurks close as other wolves decide to take Carol for themselves and a mysterious illness starts attacking the local wolves. Can Carol outwit her abductors and solve this mystery? Who will become her mate; a rogue red or one of the loyal grays?

Wolf Fever is a fiery hot exciting novel! Action abounds from the first page keeping you engrossed. Carol and Ryan’s connection is sizzling. These two are electrifying when together. Wolf Fever has it all: a fabulous couple and a thrilling mystery to keep you on your toes. I found the couple lovely and wickedly entertaining. The mystery is enticing, while the action keeps your blood pumping. The secondary characters are amazing and easy to become attached to. I can’t wait to read more about the pack from Silver Town. This is my first venture into Terry Spear’s werewolf world and boy have I been missing a fabulous series! I can say that it is absolutely okay to begin this series with Wolf Fever but I guarantee it will leave you wanting to run out and purchase the whole series.

Heart of the Highland Wolf's Top Pick from NOR!

This was the full moon last night, although tonight is supposed to be the full moon, so if I can, I'll take some pictures of it tonight. :)

Night Owl Reviews!

Score: 5.00 / 5 - Reviewer Top Pick

Review:
Julia Wildthorn is the author of famous werewolf romance books in the U.S. She knows a great deal about the subject due to the fact that she herself is a werewolf. Julia is suffering from a bout of writers block so she decides to go with her best friend to Scotland. Julia's friend, Maria Boquero, is an assistant director for a film company. Julia decides to travel undercover as Maria's assistant. Julia's family came from Scotland and they lived in the castle where the movie crew is going to be filming. Her grandfather wants her to find a box that was hidden in the castle and bring it home without opening it. Julia and Marie rent a cottage near Argent Castle so that they will be close. Before leaving L.A. Maria receives death threats warning her to stop the film crew from using the castle, but she ignores them. After they arrive in Scotland they rent a car to take them to the cottage, but their car is ran off of the road. Ian MacNeill is the Laird of Argent Castle and leader of his pack of werewolves. He is also the oldest of a set of quadruplets. Ian if forced to rent the castle and land to the American film company, due to the packs money manager running off with all the packs money. When Ian and his brother come across Julia and Maria's car on the side of the road they offer their help. Both brothers are surprised to find that the two women are unmated werewolves. The moment that Ian sees Julia he feels an instant attraction to her and his wolf knows she is his mate. Ian has a lot on his plate from dealing with a rival clan trying to take the castle from him to trying to make sure the film crew doesn't see his people change. Plus now he has a mate. This is just a little too much for him. But the more he gets to know Julia the more he wants her.

This is the seventh installment in Ms. Spear's werewolf series and will not disappoint. If you are new to this series you can pick up this book without reading the rest, but the others in this series are worth reading. Ms. Spear gives the werewolf romance a new and different twist. Her stories are wonderful. I tell all my friends about this series and she is an auto buy for me. I have all her books on my keeper shelf. I hope to see stories about all of Ian's brothers and one with Maria. Book eight titled Dreaming of the Wolf will be out in December of 2011.

Shadow Elf--New Cover

Well, I'm off to work on Jaguar and plant jasmine (as soon as it gets light out) and wait for the guys to come and fix my roof and seal up all my house cracks. :( Sometimes I think it would be cheaper and easier just to sell and buy a new house--as in newly built!!!

My daughter made me move tons of stuff out of a storage room to go through and get rid of, and so my house is a mess. I can't stand to look at it! :)

Off to work on jaguar! Have a super Sunday!

Hope the newsletter got to everyone all right this time!!!

And tomorrow starts more of the tour!

The Dark Fae

Is at 255 on B&N! :) And 87 on Amazon's best seller list!

Alicia's always known she's different--that she can recognize the mischievous fae when they show up to "play" with the humans. Only now she's faced with one highly annoyed dark fae and she's certain he knows the truth about her. She can see him, which means her life is forfeit.

Add to that, his sister arrives, who wants to play, too. And their mother, the queen of the Denkar, will want Alicia's head, once she learns what Alicia can do.

And all because Alicia was attempting to rescue her friend, Cassie, on their beach excursion at South Padre Island, from the wicked fae. Now, Alicia has really gone and done it--and she's thinking she should have let the fae have his fun. Her friend's broken heart would be a lot easier to deal with, than Alicia losing her life.

But it is too late for regrets. As soon as she threw the soda at the dark fae's chest, she had declared war on the fae. And he is happy to take up the challenge.

Well, we had fun yesterday--although my daughter and I were trying to clean out stuff that needs to be gotten rid, and that's a job. And in the interim, it just makes everything messy looking! :)

My house looks like it's moving day with tons of clutter everywhere. And this is only the beginning. But eventually, I'll have more room to store stuff (neatly) and it will be so much better. :)

But for now, I'm off to work!!! It's going to be a bear. :(

If THE DARK FAE would really go viral, I could quit and write full time. Wouldn't that be neat???

Okay, spread the word....buy THE DARK FAE. The fairies in your life will love you for it. They need lots of understanding. Sure, they're mischievous and devilish and can ruin a good day if they have a mind to do so. But if you can get one on your side, you've got a friend for life. :)

Blogging at Love Romance Passion Today!

I'm here today at Love Romance Passion where I was asked the age-old question about what Higlanders wear under their kilts...with a twist, because most don't ask about a Highland "wolf"...so drop by and enjoy!!! I have a LOT of disclaimers to answer the question!

What is Worn Under a Highland Wolf's Kilt?

THE DARK FAE continues to sell like the proverbial hotcakes...(though I never was really that fond of hotcakes, and to me selling out like....hmm, maybe hot fudge sundaes would be more appropriate...or thin mints, yes!)....

Alicia has planned a vacation at South Padre Island with her girlfriend Cassie in forever. But just as they're enjoying a day on the beach, here comes a dark fae to spoil their holiday, except only she can see what he truly is. Alicia has no idea how upside down her world can turn with a chance meeting with one of the dark fae from the royal house of the Denkar.

The Shadow Elf

Ebook By Terry Spear
Published: Jun. 01, 2011
Category: Fiction » Young adult or teen » Romance
Category: Fiction » Literature » Fantasy (paranormal)
Words: 43138

Persephonice is given the mission of distracting the shadow elves who are bound to learn what is blocking their water source before they discover a space ship is sitting in the middle of their river. That's how all the trouble begins.

Persephonice is an overseer--an observer and recorder of information about inhabitants of civilized worlds. Only she's lost her lifemate and cannot be an overseer without one. She's given a second chance if she can prove she's worthy if she can survive an inhospitable planet inhabited by elves and other mythical creatures she's only read about, very little of which is known of them except that they constantly battle amongst themselves and are not civilized enough to safely observe.

The shadow elf, Dracolin, a warrior given the task of learning what is blocking their water source, doesn't expect to find the most unusual creature he's ever encountered--a red-haired, green-eyed land-bound mermaid. That's only the beginning. She understands and can speak his language, falls off cliffs without injuring herself, and swims like a mermaid--without the fishtail.

Everyone is intrigued with her--except some fear her uniqueness and want to destroy her. That is the problem with observing uncivilized worlds.

Have you ever felt like that? So unique that you're not well received???

I have to mention that I've dedicated The Shadow Elf to my daughter, Jennifer Spear, who inspired me to write the story, all because of her red hair. She is featured on the cover, dressed for the Renaissance Fair, and surrounded by all manner of elves and sprites!

Have a super Thursday!!!
