Well, what do you think he's thinking? Samson reminds me of my dad when he'd have sort of a cat-caught-the mouse grin---fun, but a little evil too.
But since Samson is a sweet Lab, I can only assume he's thinking of finding a female Lab to love...yeah, that's what that silly grin is for while he's half asleep!!!

Thanks, Suzy, for sharing, and for your SIL taking a great photo of a fun-loving dog!
And the newsletter featuring Killing the Bloodlust is off! Unfortunately, Bravenet didn't send me a copy and so I can't forward it to newsletter members who are caught in the Bravenent spam filter. So once one of my fans forwards a copy of it, I'll be forwarding it along!
Off to work! Yes, we're now open on Sundays. argh

My brother-in-law has a chocolate lab. He loved to swim....so I wonder if the dog is thinking how cool it would be to jump in lake. ;)
Speaking of dogs, I was reading the book we have on Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. Apparently these guys can't understand doggie/wolf language. They are too close to humans to be able to interpret the signs.
So my sons can't understand human body language (ADHD and Autistic) and now we have a dog that doesn't understand doggie. Sigh. But she is cute and cuddly which is why I wanted a Cavalier. Unconditional love is not overrated and our kids love her and she is very patient and kind with the kids.
Oh absolutely, Beth! My Lab used to love to swim too. She was a yellow.
LOL about your Spaniels. They're so cute. :) That's terrific about her being so good natured! :)
I love that Shit Eating Grin. And I bet he did and won't tell until after he licks someone. Right across the face. LOL!!! I went to a baby shower today. The first thing I spotted when I arrived. A new Wolf picture on their wall. I think you'd love it. Their friend painted it. I have to find out about him. The wolf was wadding into a Stream. I thought of Leidolf. But it doesn't take much for me to think about my fantasy of him.
How interesting about the wolf painting!! Did I tell you that a fantasy I was reading used the term "wolves" as a swear word? LOL :)
Glad you liked the picture of Samson---he really is a sweet (huge) dog---I thought he sorta looked like a goofy were-dog in this photo!
Truthfully, Suzy, I thought he looked like he had vampire roots, but then I love them too!!! :) He's adorable! :)
