Back to The Wolf and the SEAL

What with the trip and working on Forbidden Love edits and sending it off to an agent! and sending a YA to an editor, The Trouble with Demons, and making teddy bears, I haven't had time to work on The Wolf and the SEAL and it has been calling to me, beseeching me to come and work on it some more.

Taking a break from a current work in progress can be good. It gives me a chance to write and work on other stuff, and then go back to that work with fresh eyes.

I love the story! It's sexy, and fun, and suspenseful, and mysterious. How can it not be with a SEAL in it?

And already my critique partners have fallen in love with a female character in the story that is new. Sooo, if you all love her too, I'll just have to do something about it!

I've also sent out some PDF copies of Wolf Fever to reviewers. If anyone has an active review site and would like a chance to review the December release, just email me. :)

Okay, another day at work....I did move all the books from the shelves not bolted to the wall at least. And our volunteer did come back to help shelve more books. But the carts quickly filled back up.

Off to revise some more on The Wolf and the SEAL before work! Hope you all have a super hump day!!!

Oh, and what are you all doing for Halloween? Anything? I'm settling down with my SEAL, and hope to have half of the novel written by this weekend, and then it's downhill from there--and I mean that in a good way!!! :)

No Halloween decorations this year. I'm not even fussy about Thanksgiving because my daughter will be going to see her dad for the holiday. And my son will be busy with navigator training.

Maybe I'll get some candy that I like for Halloween. We don't get any trick or treaters out here....oh, I do have a house warming to go to for a friend and coworker on Saturday. Hmm, maybe I'll take her something Halloweenish for her party. :)

So what do you all plan to do???

We'll have trick or treaters so I'll be at home while hubby takes the kids around the neighborhood.

And then I'll have to pack up all my ghosts, witches, Death, and Headless Horsemen. Oh and the pumpkin will have to go in trash. Sigh.

Then there will be nothing to stop the commercialization of Christmas. I'm not sure I can stand two months of seeing everything decorated. What happened to waiting for Thanksgiving weekend to decorate?

We have very few Trick or Treaters. I'll still give out to those that show up and double to the cutest costumes.
You my friend I think are one of the lucky states. You should be warm and toasty. We were blowing off the map. And we actually had snow flurries early this morning. I don't want snow on my Pumpkins. I'm glad you're back to getting busy with that SEAL. Have fun. You know what they say about those Seals. So call for backup if you get in over your head. LOL!!!

It's called GREED Beth. Money over all else. I just try to keep my sense of faith in God and my fellow humans in tact by ignoring the idiots and just doing my thing!

Where I live we don't get kids, so I don't buy candy or decorate. Crap...I used to love doing that, but now that my son is all grown up...*sigh* Halloween is not as fun as it used to be. Not as fattening either...knew there had to be a plus in there somewhere!

I loved decorating and having kids to the house when my kids were young when we lived in OK. We just don't have any of that where I live now. I usually decorate anyway, and last year I had my daughter, her boyfriend and girlfriend over and we had a lot of fun. But this year, nah.

Snow flurries? Oh wow, Donna!!! The temperature is to drop tomorrow, but today, it's still hot! LOL about you wanting to be back up if I get in over my head with SEALs. Hmmm. :)

Ah, yes, as far as not gaining the weight if you don't buy the candy, Jessica!!! Definitely a plus. And the time is yours to just be, and not have to do. I got to see the kids dressed up at storytime today and that's enough for me. :) I usually dress up at work, but it's on Sunday and I'm not working then. Soooo, no worries!

My sister and I are huge Halloween fans, always have been. There is not a single year that has gone by without my dressing up. Pretty scary considering I'm not a child, but I've digressed. My sister is throwing a haunted mansion themed party, and hubby, the kids, and I will be Alice in Wonderland characters. I'll give you a hint as to who I'll be. Think hearts, red, lots of shouting, and orders of head removals.

LOL, you have to send me a picture!!! Sounds great. Now, as Witchy Woman, why would I think you might dress as something else? Ah, I know. You're Witchy Woman all the time. So for Halloween, you have to be something different!!! :) Sounds like lots of fun.

When we were at one of the castles in Scotland, they'd had a big celebration there of some sort and they had entertainers who dressed as Alice in Wonderland characters! It looked like a lot of friend. :) Sounds like you'll have fun!!!

I'm so jealous! A castle in Scotland, that must've been breathtaking.
Actually, I was a witch several years in a row-different outfits, but then as a family we started dressing up in themes. I'll send you a pic via email.

Sounds great!

I'm on pain medicine for the PAIN from the tooth implant. It's horrible!!! And the bleeding was so bad I had to drive back into town to see the oral surgeon to make sure it was okay and get something stronger than what I was on. But all my teeth on the right side of my head are hurting, and my ear is aching from the pain...so any mistakes in writing are due to the medication I'm on. argh...

It's making me sleepy and weepy (or the pain is, not sure), but the pain is still there. Plus the medicine is making me nauseous. double argh. If I feel like this tomorrow, I'll have to take another sick day of leave. At least I'm off all weekend and by Monday, I hopefully will be feeling better. Hopefully.
