I'm sooo tired! They stayed until 10 last night and still, the work isn't done. Supposed to be back Saturday or Sunday. :( This is a picture of the bedroom tile. They're still working on the bathroom tile.
Anyway, I'll be sleeping in the living room for the rest of the week. At least the dust they stirred up from removing the old tile has finally settled.
And NO AC. It's going to cost about $4,000 to replace. argh! The guy said I could just wait until next summer. It's in the 90s every day still!!! The worst part is I paid $185 to have the capacitor changed out, and that obviously didn't work after a couple of weeks, no refund on that, no taking off that botched job on the $4,000. If they can't guarantee their work for any longer than that, I'm looking for another AC man.
*sigh* Have a super Wednesday!!!

I know working in a courthouse I have things like this on my mind...but...if the AC guy 'fixed' it, why doesn't he stand by his work. Something that is 'fixed' shouldn't quit working the next week or so. Bring him back and raise a little caine...OK a lot of caine! If not, good luck with the weather, remember it won't last forever, it just seems like it. lol
I so agree, Jessica. The tile guys know someone who does AC work, of course. So I'm getting an estimate from them too. I don't owe any loyalty to a company that charges and doesn't guarantee their work for longer than that. What really irritated me was the: "We won't charge you for this call." They should have taken the last one off on the other also, if they'd wanted me to call them for anything else.

Have you thought of getting a one room ac unit for now. I did that when the big ac unit went out. It was better than nothing!

LOL! That's just what I was going to suggest. A one room Air Conditioner installed in the room you spend the most time. You need to write a good letter to the Better Business Agency. I'd say checking into another AC company is in order.
The Tile looks good. I like the color. Will they install some wood baseboards that match the floor for you too?

I've done the BBA on a roofing company once. The roofing company had so much clout, they twisted everything around. The workers had gotten their trailer stuck in my front yard because we'd had a lot of rain, and they'd left huge ruts in the yard that I couldn't fill in without buying a load of dirt--and they tore limbs off two trees. I had a real fight with them to put things right. He said my lawn mower dug the 2 1/2 foot trench. Uhm, right. As if it would have EVER been heavy enough to do something like that. They had a trailer loaded with tile, and got stuck. grrr. Anyway, after that, I figure the BBB doesn't do much of anything.
The baseboards are white. They put them in last night, but still need to seal down below them. And they put in the tile in the bathroom, but no grout yet. :(
