Have a Happy New Year's Eve!

I've got to work all day tomorrow so I'm wishing everyone some cheer early!
The years begin great writing ways--with Heart of the Wolf's release, then great review in Publishers Weekly, and subsequent selection as one of five Publishers Weekly's "BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR" for mass marketed books.

I'm thrilled that three more Wolf titles will be coming out next year. The artists at Sourcebooks have outdone themselves with the cover for Destiny of the Wolf (was Don't Cry Wolf) coming March 1, 2009. And I can't wait to see the covers for The Bite of the Wolf (Betrayal of the Wolf) and Allure of the Wolf coming in the fall of 2009.

I'm also excited about The Accidental Highland Hero, which is the long-awaited sequel to Winning the Highlander's Heart. Winning the Highlander's Heart received a beautiful cover also, hunky Highlanders are always welcome! And I can't wait to see what Vintage comes up with for the new book. And will be writing a third one in the series next year.

The Vampire...In My Dreams has done well and some fans of Twilight have said they loved The Vampire...In My Dreams also. :) A sequel is planned in the future also.

Currently, I'm working on Plight of the Wolf and Night of the Wolf.... *sigh*....I read the most wonderful true story about a wolves' plight, so plan to incorporate their true tale in a future installment of my werewolf tales. :)

So that's the good news. The bad news is my mother's health has been awful for most of the year and we'd high hopes that the new year she'd be feeling her good old self. But she's got pneumonia now, and so for New Years Eve, she's having more tests run.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful new year! What are your plans? Partying? Resting?
Hope yours is safe and fun-filled no matter what you're doing for the holidays! :)

Ack, Christmas!

After long crowds and harried traffic, I'm sitting at home, trying to get back to editing Deadly Liaisons that will be coming out in March and needs to be done by tomorrow! With the London Symphony Orchestra serenading me with White Christmas in the background, which, by the way, does not feel appropriate for editing a vampire romantic suspense, I'm settled with a nice cup of hot green tea.

Not for long though. I need to move all the hoses again, watering during not a white Christmas at all, though I'm writing about one in my latest werewolf book, Plight of the Wolf, but it is a hot and dry and very windy season, for now. Just wait around. Tomorrow the high is going to be 45. Today it's 75. And the next day, it'll be climbing back up to the 60's and 70's again.

So I'm off to work on vampires and werewolves and move water, and when I have a minute or two....I'll wrap presents. :)

*Sigh* If only I could have a long winter's nap.....

Destiny of the Wolf!

All she wants is the truth

Lelandi Wildhaven is determined to discover the truth about her beloved sister’s mysterious death. But everyone thinks she’s out to make a bid for her sister’s widowed mate…

He’s a pack leader tormented by memories...

Darien Silver blames himself for his mate’s death. When her twin arrives in his town, he finds himself

bewitched, and when someone attempts to silence her, he realizes that protecting the beautiful stranger

might be the only way to protect his pack…and himself…

Praise for Terry Spear’s Heart of the Wolf:

“The vulpine couple’s chemistry crackles off the page.”—Publisher’s Weekly

“Centers on pack problems in a refreshingly straight forward way. The characters are well drawn and believable, which makes the contemporary plotline of love and life among the lupus garou seem, well, realistic.”—The Romantic Times“

A sensual, action-packed read that you won’t want to miss.”—Shape Shifter Romance

“Full of action, adventure, suspense, and romance…one of the best werewolf stories I’ve read!” --Fallen Angels Reviews

"A steamy, action-packed romance set within a complex and deadly werewolf society. This delicious alpha hero will leave you wild for more."

Christmas Rush!!!

I'm busy!!! Isn't everyone?! From trying to snatch an hour of time to Christmas shop here and there before work, to working at the library, keeping up with my student's online writing lessons (2 classes going on, a 3rd starting next week), writing my new Plight of the Wolf, and fitting in some Christmas programs--parties and tonight it's a play about Scrooge right after a long day of work--I'm stretched pretty thin!

In fact, I'm trying to get this posted while I'm getting ready to run into work, my long day and we're really short-handed on Saturdays....sooooo...really long day. I meant to post before, but because of all of the above, I just haven't had time!!!

But if anyone wants a book autographed, I'm shipping them for the next week and a half or so. :) Just email me and I can do it through paypal or money orders. :) terryspear@ymail.com

Off to work.

Are we having fun yet??? :)
